Welcome to the 2nd Pod Cast for Safety 2020. There are 5 days to go to the revised closing date for abstract on the 15th March.


In this Pod Cast Richard Franklin discusses events associated with the conference, themes within the conference and how recent papers such as those on trampoline injuries from the US: https://injuryprevention.bmj.com/content/early/2020/03/09/injuryprev-2019-043501), - drowning of high risk populations (https://injuryprevention.bmj.com/content/early/2020/03/10/injuryprev-2019-043432) and Global Burden of Disease (https://injuryprevention.bmj.com/content/early/2020/02/20/injuryprev-2019-043484) link nicely to the conference and help us to think about what future data / action we might need.


The abstract process is a guide so don’t be put off, we are looking for injury related ideas from people delivering programs, policy and undertaking research.


We are building an interactive program with workshops, debates, presentations, trade displays and networking events. We will also having a strong focus on early career people.


There will be scholarships available, however you need to submit an abstract to be eligible.
