Why the day exists
Disaster & climate

How organisations mark it
- Teach a class or a whole school the two steps of Hands-Only CPR.
- Register your defibrillator on the national network so ambulance call handlers can direct people to it.
- Run a mass CPR training event with the local ambulance service or resuscitation council.
- Join a live-streamed CPR session and take part at home with a cushion.
- Check workplace defibrillator pads, batteries and signage, and name who is responsible for them.
