Road & transport

How organisations mark it
- Run a Bike to Work Day commuter station with coffee, repairs and a route guide.
- Offer staff a bike parking, shower or repair-kit benefit and publicise it during May.
- Hold a family ride on National Ride A Bike Day, the first Sunday in May.
- Check helmets and lights, and teach children the rules of the road before the summer.
- Ask your city for one specific fix — a protected lane, a safer junction, lower speeds on a school route.
